Are templates sold by BoxedArt a good business solution?

Having a successful website is dependent on how you present your content, and a poor design can be a major impediment in conveying your information. Whether you have a website that you would like to update or are just planning your website for the first time, there are many things to consider that are equally important including:

1. Do I have the skills to create an attractive site?
2. Can I create the logo and branding for my website?
3. Can I create the other materials to advertise my site effectively?
4. Will I need the help of a web designer?
5. How much time will it take me or my web designer to make all of these things?

Many webmasters spend a good part of their time designing and redesigning their website, so much so that their content and promotion can languish to their detriment. I’ve found that a good solution to this problem are the resources offered at boxedart.com such as their web templates, promotional banner sets, corporate IDs, and other easily useable website elements. Having played with some numbers, I have realized that I can pay less than $50 for access to BoxedArt’s collection of products which currently includes over 5000 items.

This means that I can experiment with hundreds of different designs by just dropping in my content to each to see how my site will look in countless styles, and BoxedArt also offers all templates in a second version, their flash templates, so I have further options for my site. In addition to all of this, BoxedArt offers a variety of banner templates in 7 sizes ranging from small tile buttons to very large banners, as well as unique logos and corporate ID sets, and about 30 other categories of products that are all included with the membership price. Running the numbers, I’ve determined that if I wanted a full suite of matching products made for my site, I could easily spend over $5000 on designer fees or spend 100+ hours of my own time that I could have spent writing content or promoting my website, and this would only get me one design.

If I were to later change my mind about the design, I would be out of luck and have to begin all over again. Therefore, to answer the question if I believe the website templates and other products from BoxedArt are a good business solution, I would answer by asking if you would like to save $4950! I choose BoxedArt every time.
