Seeing Double?

find delete duplicate delete pictures

You know, as a blogger, I realised that one of the most important elements in a blog is to have lots and lots of pictures in it. I tend to write on similar subjects, so it’s a bit hard not to repeat the images I used, which turns out to be a problem because I don’t want to bore my readers. I do have many images, but I tend to ‘misplace’ them into other folders, which turns out to be a great time waster just to search for a particular image. Also, I’m an avid photographer, so I’ve got lots of pictures in different formats which can be a real pain to sort.

Well, lucky for me, I managed to Find Duplicate Images to solve this little hitch. By using visual compare, I can find all similar and duplicate pictures in a snap.actually, I think this software is great for hoarders like me, i.e: people who don’t throw away any images and just let the pictures take up all the space.

It’s really easy to navigate the Visual Similarity Duplicate Image Finder. Just add the folders that you wish to scan, select “visual compare”, make some other selections like the percentage of similarity and file size and file type, and whoalla! The images that you are looking for will pop out, just like that. Thank goodness.

One of the plus points of using this software is that you can Find and delete similar and duplicate images, pictures and photographs. Meaning, you get to save storage space by removing the extra images that are just redundant duplicates. Trust me, I managed to cleared a couple of Gigabytes after my first use. More to go. Why? Because I only went through the JPEGs; I’ve not started on the other formats like gif, png, TIFF, jp2, psd and RAW files..just to name a few!
